Agrippa93’s Dichotomy Album Release Party

Join us in celebrating this special event in A93 history as we release the long awaited Dichotomy album at the Webster Underground in Hartford, CT. on April, 14th, 2012. We have labored over this work for well over a year pouring our hearts and souls into this album and wish to share this chapter of our lives with you. Your presence at this event means the world to us.

Enjoy a collection of handpicked local bands including VeXeD WuV and Imperium Mortis (more to be announced) and finish the evening with Agrippa93 performing our new album from beginning to end. Admission is a $10 ticket, which can be purchased by any A93 band member. Purchase of a ticket includes a FREE copy of the brand new CD, which can be picked up at the Album Release Party.

A Lion for a Day (or More)

Apple‘s up coming operating system, Mac OSX 10.7 code named Lion, has been floating around in developer mode since it’s release several months ago. I finally got my hands on the Beta version and was eager to install it on one of my Macs, especially after a friend said he had no issues with it and even has it running on his main computer. Though I wasn’t as brave as he to install it on my new Mac Pro, I did load it up on my MacBook to experiment with. This the MacBook I use for my Agrippa93 keyboard rig for shows running Mainstage for all my synths and samples. One of the best features of Lion, the auto save, unfortunately reeked havoc on my most essential application on the computer. More on this later. Read more

CT Metal Scene: Where’s the Brotherhood?

As a long time metal fan and musician I’ve only actually been an active member of the local metal scene in Connecticut as a performer since 2009, when the only way to get Agrippa93 our 1st show was to create it myself. The venue was an old discount movie theater that I rented out with my own cash inviting along 3 other bands for the night. I had absolutely no previous experience as a show promoter and less in the live scene as a performing band. In Studio: Session 19 – Distant Drums

For the last few rehearsal sessions Agrippa93‘s been working on getting Distant Dark, a new song on our upcoming album, finalized in preparation to recording. Thursday night we ended practice with a drum recording session done in the usual manner. I spent the next few days editing the midi drums, so that they would be ready for the next stage, which would be both guitar and bass. Read more
